Pure vegetarian Mediterranean cuisine that’s full of classic flavours and generous portions.
Even with a reservation, seating isn’t always guaranteed. They could use more staff to handle the crowds and avoid getting overwhelmed.
Soothing and simple
Though they seem understaffed and the wait times can be slightly longer, the team is extremely generous and accommodating.
They’ve boldly chosen to serve pure vegetarian Mediterranean cuisine, and it’s a delight to see them succeed so beautifully in their mission. Perfect for anyone who enjoys a lighter, spice-free alternative to typical masaledaar food.
As soon as I discovered that this place serves pure vegetarian Mediterranean cuisine, I was instantly intrigued and knew I had to try it!
I made a reservation through Swiggy, but upon arriving, I had to wait for about 10-15 minutes to get a seat. The restaurant was clearly busy that day, but the staff handled it well, and we were soon settled in.
We kicked things off with the “Meal for Two,” which, let me tell you, was enough to satisfy three! We swapped the classic pita bread for the Za’atar pita, which was absolutely fantastic—fluffy with a herby, slightly tangy twist. Alongside, we had hummus and falafel balls, both of which were flavorful and fresh.
Next up was the Padana Pizza—an absolute treat! The spinach and cheese combo is a classic for a reason, and this pizza nailed it with its perfect balance of flavors and crispiness.
Then came the Lasagna. Now, I had forgotten that lasagna takes a bit of time to prepare, so I ended up waiting about half an hour for it (the kitchen had to redo one batch, which added an extra 10 minutes). But when it finally arrived, it was good—rich, cheesy, and comforting—but honestly, I think it was not worth the wait!
I was hoping to try their popular Baklava, but unfortunately, it was not available, so I opted for their Sizzling Brownie with ice cream instead. The brownie was warm and gooey, and the ice cream on top was the perfect cooling contrast. It might not have been what I originally came for, but it definitely satisfied my sweet tooth.
P.S. Despite the wait and the busy day, the host went above and beyond. He was incredibly gracious and apologetic about the lasagna delay, and I could tell he was doing his best to manage the chaos.
If you’re curious to try Mediterranean flavors in a vegetarian format, Hummus House is a great choice. For those who prefer a spicier, chili-loaded meal, though, this might not be your go-to. Their staff’s warmth and hospitality make the experience even better, and I’d definitely go back to try more of the menu (hopefully including the elusive Baklava!).
