Not much—only the fish finger was somewhat acceptable.
Over-hyped dishes, disappointing quality, and not upto the mark presentation.
The reputation suggests it should be better, but it falls short. Long queues may raise expectations, but the interior doesn’t justify the hype.
Decent, but nothing special to compensate for the disappointing food.
Frankly, you shouldn’t bother unless you want to see what the hype is about for yourself.
Seriously?
I had heard a lot about this place. Moreover, seeing people waiting in queues outside had set the expectations even higher. After my recent visit, I am glad I didn’t have to wait outside—it’s just not really worth it.
The food was very average. I ordered their famous (now I can say over-hyped) cello kebabs, sizzler, and fish finger. The fish finger was okay. The cello kebab platter looked like a lot of simple things put together on a plate. The worst of all was the sizzler which we, just by its looks and specifically its color, did not feel like eating. It was again very average.
Overall, it was extremely disappointing. I don’t know what’s the hype about. I suspect this place used to be very good but has degraded in quality over the years, which is what happens with a lot of good restaurants when they become extremely popular.
Peter Cat fails to live up to its legendary status. Despite the long queues and high expectations, the food quality and presentation leave much to be desired. With better options available in the city, this place doesn’t warrant the wait or the visit. If you do go, temper your expectations and perhaps stick to the fish finger.
